Makeup Tutorial #1 ©

The Purple Smokey Eye
Want to achieve this outstanding yet vibrant look?  Follow these tips:

  •   First, you want to use a primer.  Basically anything works (hopefully for you.)  I prefer to use these two options:  1.) MAC Prep + Prime Eye 2.) Urban Decay Primer Potion.  But!  You don't necessarily have to use these products.  They're just suggested.  So please don't go out of your way to get these two products.  :)
  • Second, take a purple matte eyeshadow and apply it on your lid.  *Make sure there aren't any harsh lines so be sure to blend throughout this tutorial.
  • Third, take a deep dark purple and tap off any excess shadow and apply it onto your crease.  This will prevent any power to fall onto your face.   Once again, blend.
  • Fourth, use a dark violet or black eyeshadow and use a blending brush then apply it onto the outer corners of your eyes to create a smokey eye texture.
  • Fifth, apply a liquid eyeliner or any black eyeliner, and apply it as close to the lash line as you can.  Then take a pencil eyeliner or gel and follow down on your waterline.   Use a glitter/shimmering white shadow in your tear ducts to brighten and make the eyes bigger.  After that's all done apply your favorite mascara.
  • Sixth, make sure you blended everything so your eyes don't look like you got punched in the face!  After everything I personally would use a bronzer or no blush at all, because we don't want to overwhelm the finished look.
  • Seventh, take a light pink lipstick and gloss to finish up the look.  Apply white eyeshadow to your cupids bow above your lips if needed.   *If you want take hot pink lipgloss and glam your lips up for that dramatic look
And you're done!  :)

-READ!  I know I forgot to include the concealer/foundation/brow parts.   I personally only use concealer under my eyes and my brow bone to cover up hairs/bags.  Then I would set foundation if needed.  But since I have thick eyebrows I don't need to use all the other tools.   If you have any questions/comments/concerns regarding this look please comment and I'll reply A-S-A-P!!!!

(P.S. Depending on the eyeshadow you use will affect this look.  I used shimmering MAC shadow colors and one matte color to make the look better.  But hopefully depending on what you have should do just fine.  If it doesn't turn out try different types.)

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial,
